Excel's 'arrange' of workbooks

My colleague has an issue with Excel:

when he has more than one workbook open in a 'Restore Down' view, i.e., not a Maximized view, ........one of the workbooks cannot be moved when attempting to drag (grab) its title bar.

The first opened workbook can be moved by title bar, but the second is stuck.

When the books are Rearranged, everything is fine and he can grab & move them, but when he closes and restarts any set of workbooks again, the second one always gets stuck.

He has restarted Excel and it is unlikely a problem w/ memory.

Any ideas???

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

The situation you describe, that of having more than one windows open on a screen, requires the window to be dragged, or moved, to "have the focus", that is, to be "selected". So, to drag any particular file that you are showing as a window, first click on it to select it, then all your action will be directed towards that particular window, including dragging, or "moving". Give it a try.

He's able to select it, but not move it, until he re'Arrange's it.

He still can't figure out why it initially freezes in movement.

Hmm, just goes to show you how little I know! What does "Excel's 'arrange' of workbooks" mean?

On the Menu bar, ...select Window/Arrange.

Of course, you can only Arrange if you have more than one workbook open.

Thank you for instructing me on the "Main Menu, Window, Arranage...". I tried it on my Excel 97, and it works fine. That is, I can click on any open workbook, then grab it and relocate it any place on the screen that want to. So, no help from me. It's up to the gurus, now.
