have been browsing the Excel boards for a week now to learn about the SDK. 1 or 2 Qs about the SDK, the my task to seek an alternate answer.

The SDK is vintage 97, is it dead? I particularily like the XLOPER data types in it and the ability to loop thru cells getting cell values WITHOUT using variants.

What would you recommend if you wanted to loop thru cell values then process the values in assembly language? Then return 100-200 characters to Excel?

I'd also like to control distribution over the WEB (read, get paid for every copy).

Thanks.
