Dear Excel gurus,

Background:
I have a single-page sheet I use for cash-up purposes, upon which I have added a short sentence explaining to my staff which buttons to press to run a macro.

Question:
How can I exclude this instruction from printing when they print their reports?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
I may be missing something but set the print range to exclude that cell.

I try to advise you to put the message in a text box and change its properties.

Format Text Box
Properties and deselect
Print object

A possible solution :p

It is placed above the over/short indicator which itself is adjacent to the actual cash insert cells, so its either move it, remove it or find a way that it doesn't print. I am extremely reluctant to move and removing is out of the question.
It is basically dead center on the page.

You obviously know which cells you wish to print, I have no idea. Which cells?

Cells A-C nrs 1-26 as well as cells E+F 20+21

The message is right above e+f.

The text box idea works perfectly (Thanks), but I would still like to know if there is another way.

How about this:
1. Read up on styles in "Help" or Google
2. Use a unique style for the instructions
3. Make a "before Print" sub which turns the instructions invisible (for instance change the text font to white, or look up other ways)
4. Then turn the instructions back on after your "print" vba code

Would that help?

Or just accept the instructions in the printed outpout!
