Excluding specific criteria

I have a countifs statement that is counting all data in one column, but I need to add to the statement that excludes any data in column L that has Expired in the cell.

You can add a criteria using the <> operator...

=COUNTIFS(L:L,"<>Expired")

you really didnt provide any info on what your sheet looks like and what you are trying to do but anyways dates are numbers so you can use comparison operators <>= to test them
