Export to text file

I am trying to export the results of a query to a text file. I have a date field that is exporting the time as well, all being 00:00:00. Is there a way I can do the export and not have the time show up? When I run the query the time does not show up. I am on Access 2007.

This is a common nuisance I deal with all the time. I use the FORMAT function in my query to change the value to text and only show the date portion. Then it exports as intended, i.e.:

MyDate: FORMAT([DateField],"mm/dd/yyyy")

You can also use the FORMAT function on numbers if you require an exact number of decimals in the exported value, i.e.

MyCost: FORMAT([ValueField],"0.00")
