Thanks DOF

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Excel doesn't change the order of columns when importing, so my guess it that the tool that you're using to export the report is dumping the data in an order different from the display order.
What is the source of the report? If it's a text file (or comma separated, or tab separated) have you opened it up in Notepad or Wordpad to find out what the underlying data is?

As Cindy mentioned, check the query that underlies the report.
Does the column order match what you display in the report?

And, unless the report is very simple, exporting it to Excel is often ugly. Do you have sorting and grouping in the report?

Thanks, i am trying to export an access report into excel, but for some reasons the order of the columns is been changes.

Report comes directly form a table

Does the report have multiple sections with sorting and grouping? If so, exporting to Excel is not a good idea. You will end up with a really confusing outline structure.

If the field order that you export is different from what you expected, does it match the field order on the report, or the field order in the underlying table?
