I have been working on a program that plots capability charts in Excel but am having difficulties in automating the chart creation process.

I want to be able to set the colour and line style of each series in the XY chart but when i use the .interior.colour property of the seriescollection, it sometimes works, sometimes displays "Unable to set property". What is causeing this unpredictable behaviour?

Also, i am hoping to label each series with an arrow pointing to a label on the chart itself(i.e. not using excels built in ledgend and colouring). My plan was to use the middle point in each curve and create an arrow autoshape that points to a textbox. How do i return the pixel coordinates of a point in a series, or is this the best way of doing this?

Your help will be much appreciated
