EXTRACT DATE FROM DDD-DD-MM-YY

Hi Guys,

What is the best way to extract the start of the month in "DD/MM/YY" format from the below and store it as a date.

=EOMONTH(A2,-1)+1

=EOMONTH(RIGHT(A2,8),-1)+1
