I have got a list of pay items - which are combination of letters and numbers always starting with letter preceded by letters. Like G7P9.1 But the users will only enter the value for G7

So, there can be several entries starting with G7 so, the user should be able to see the values starting from G7* or R44* or G38* and so on as shown in the attached table.

And, if there are lets say several values with same item code Say G36P1, then on the resultant table should show average (possibly trimmean average as some values can be reasonably high or low)

I have shown in example what end results is needed for a case (cell D332)

Thanks in advance for your help

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
