Hi,

I am trying to find a formula/macro to extract kanji character only from a cell. For example:

I want to remove Hiragana, Katakana from the Source sentence and display only Kanji characters in the Destination column.

Thank you if anyone could help me.

I often use the website Kanji extractor to extract but It only works on individual sentence, and extract kanji from multiple sentences is time consuming.

From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Standard characters codes (according to VBA functions Asc & Chr) start from zero up to 255
but extended characters codes (AscW & ChrW) start from -32768 up to 65535.

Maybe another way if by chance Kanji & Hira / Kana are not in the same subset
but to give it a try I need a workbook attachment with some cells with only Kanji, with only Hira and with only Kana characters
and at least one cell mixed, you can share a link of the workbook on a files host website like Dropbox …
