Extract portion of a text

Hi,

want to extract portion av a text in a cell, start with position 12 to position 21,
the total lenght of the text in cell is allways 35 (with blank) ex. timestamp: 2021-12-21T15:13:50.817Z
want to extract 2021-12-21 (date can be different)
I tried Left, Right and Instr function, no result,

Sub Part_of_text()

  Dim findtext As Long
  Dim extractText As String
  Set sht = ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Sheet2")

  findtext = sht.Range("A:A").Find("timestamp", , , xlPart, xlByRows, xlNext, False, , False).Row ' ok

Hi, try the Mid() function.

For example: MsgBox Mid("timestamp: 2021-12-21T15:13:50.817Z", 12, 10)
