Hi Folks!

I have the following Excel issue. I basically have a master timetable with hour entries on the left and classes on the top. The cells in the middle of the table are populated by the names of the theachers (at which time they are in which class). How can I from this extract "single timetables" for each teacher?

Thanks a lot!! :)

Say your class times are in A2:A11 (10 lessons throughout the day) and your class names are in B1:N1 (13 different classes) you could have your teachers names in P1:AI1 (20 teachers) then in P2 use the INDEX and MATCH formulas:
=IF(ISNA(MATCH(P$1,$B2:$N2,0)),"Off",INDEX($B$1:$N$1,1,MATCH(P$1,$B2:$N2,0))) and copy down and across to give time tables for each teacher under their name header. The IF(ISNA(),"Off",) part will put an Off comment on the line if the teacher is not assigned to a class for that time period.
