I have an excel file with around 30,000 rows and 6 columns. I want to extract all the rows with a specific term in the second column. Does anyone know how I can do this? I have a Mac by the way, but I am open to suggestions from a different operating system as I also have access to a Windows computer.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Welcome to Mr. Excel

If it's a column you could filter, have you tried filtering based on that specific column, copy the results of the filter, and paste those into another sheet?
