Hi Guys,

How do i extract the 2,4,6 8 etc... from a given string

i.e

result should be

Don't think you can do this with native functions. Try this UDF:

Function Ex(r As Range)
Dim i As Integer
Dim s As String
For i = 2 To Len(r) Step 2
    Ex = Ex & Mid(r, i, 1)
Next i

End Function

USAGE: =Ex(A1)

Hi Sorry the string can change

i.e

abcde

result should be = cd

hilongsf

result = iogf

In that case, it can't be done with a formula. Your only option is to use the UDF I posted.
