I'm making a Daily Assignment sheet from a Weekly schedule.

Sheet 1 Col A...List of 20 names in order of seniority
Sheet 1 Col B...Scheduled Daily (Column B is Monday)shift to work ie..
6-2...7-3..8-4 etc...

Sheet 2 Col A Want to list just the employees scheduled to work 6-2 with no blank cells in between names.
I will then skip down a few rows and list the 7-3's etc...

I did this with the "IF" function but get "False or Blank cells in between the names with different hours.
I want the names in a continuos column with no blank of false cells listed.
Thanks in advance...SteveT333

You could create a pivot table with Shift and name as row fields and count of Shift as the Data field. The first 2 columns will give you the list you want.

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

I'm really guessing here, but it sounds a bit like you might be just trying to get a printed list of each shift?

If so, maybe you don't need another sheet at all, but could use AutoFilter. See if this is any use (assumes headings in row 1)

1. Select column B by clicking its heading label.
2. Data|Filter|AutoFilter
3. Use the AutoFilter drop-down in B1 to select a shift and then print.
4. Repeat step 3 as required.

Thank you much. These are all different time starts on the SAME SHIFT. This will help on a temp basis. I placed a Temp heading named "Hours" on the schedule above each day of the week. I will sort, copy and paste to a daily work sheet. Unless you can sort to a target (2nd Sheet)? Thanks a bunch! SteveT333
