Hi
My F2 key wont allow me to edit in excel 2007, but with the onscreen keyboard, it works perfectly. I have a dell 1525 inspiron, and it does not have an F lock . Also F1 wont work, but F5 and F10 do.
Any ideas how to get this to work normally. Thanks
regards
marissan

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
I have that same problem with the F2 key - will be interested in knowing the answer. I did alot of google searches, but never got an answer

Have you checked your Edit tab under Menu->Tools->Options and that you have ticked the box for "Edit directly in cell"?

(If using Excel 2003, I suspect similar manner for later versions)
