I am receiving an "Invalid procedure call or argument." error as I am trying to delete the cell at P1 (an address of $T$4) and shift the cells below up.

Code:
wshvar.Cells(p1).Delete xlUp

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Assuming that p1 is a string try

Code:
wshvar.Range(p1).Delete shift:=xlShiftUp

The Cells Property has 2 arguments,
Cells(Row#, Column#)

I think you want to use Range instead
wshvar.Range(p1).Delete

I think ...
Code:
wshvar.cells.range(p1).delete xlup
works.
