I was away from work the last two days, and someone used my system. Now, when I open Excel, my formula bar is about 24 points tall, instead of the usual 10 or so.

I couldn't find a way to change the height of the formula bar. Any body know one?

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Is the font within the formula bar as expected, or also 24 points?

It's also 24 points. Same with the Names box. All the other lines on the toolbar are normal sized. (I have my toolbar in two rows, with the formula bar underneath).

Glenn, you started me thinking. I went to Tools-Options-General, and saw that the default font size had been changed to 20. When I changed it back to 10, I got my old formula bar back.

So thanks for the prod! (And why anyone would want a default font size of 20 is beyond me - they must be blinder than bats.)

Great! I thought that might be it, although I was also thinking "why would anyone want a default font size of ..."!!!
