feature selection method in excel?

Hi,

does anyone know how we can analyse the importance of each column (attribute) without using excel add in tools (eg. sql data mining.). for example, select the important attributes and reject other ones that don't have any relation at all.

Its basically like the data mining tool sql add in for windows excel. For the specific tool called key analysier which determines the key attributes and importance. In a way, its like a hypothesis test to see whether each attribute is significantly related to the dependent variable if not, reject the none relevent ones.

So in my case, I don't won't to do a hypothesis test, nor do I want to use a add in tool for this, I need a feature selection method for excel that can classifiy my attributes
