Feeding a web page through an XLS file?

Hi,

I've been trying to find out whether you can upload an Excel file (I use Excel 2007) onto a server to feed into a page on your website. I hate using tables in html and I would love it if I could just simply update my Excel file and overwrite it online and that will update the web page too?

I would be so grateful if someone could give me a quick step by step guide (if it is possible).
