Field Unique to that record

I am new to Access and I am trying to add a field a database. the field shows when that record was lasted updated. I tried adding a text box but when I put a date in it puts that same date for all the records in the database. How can I make the date I put in that field unique to that record. Thank you for your help.

You need to add a field to the table then it will take unique values. you could use an after update event in the form to update the field when someone edits a record.
