I have this strange experience wherein if I open a specific file, I still have to unhide it (thru WINDOW->UNHIDE).

Why is this happening and where do I change this setup?

Thanks

Hi PATSYS

Did you check either the Workbook_Open Code or see if properties are set for it to be an Add-In?

Hi Dave,

There is no code in the ThisWorkbook. There is no ADD-IN in my excel (though I am not sure if this is what you are referring to).

Thanks

Hi

Did you save this workbook down in a hidden state?

Hi Richard,

I am not even sure how that is done.. One of the user might have.

Can you show me how it is done?

Thanks

Well, just hide any old workbook (Window>Hide) and then close Excel down and click Yes to save changes in this workbook. When you open up Excel again, and open this workbook, it will open in a hidden state (eg much like Personal.xls is). If you unhide it and close it down (and save changes again), next time you reopen it will be visible again.
