Is there a way to find out which employee is in a file, when it says "read only - file is in use by "associate"."?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Someone with the username "associate" has that file opened. If you not sure who that person is, you should contact your IT administrator

Hi,

It usually shows the Login ID of a associate when the file is open by the associate....

So if you have a database of the login ID's it might help......
