Hi,

Can anyone suggest some code to use that will open an external workbook and supress the 'this file is locked for editing' warning (the one where you can select read only, notify when file available or cancel).

If there is a way to force a file to open as read only would that bypass the warning?

I've got code that opens several workbooks for various calculations but any locked files will cause an issue.
