File that keeps track of changes within and closes after certain time.

I'm trying to update a file of mine which has multiple users. I would like to keep track of who changes what.
And to prevent that one user keeps a file open all day long without using it. the file should close automatically.

I have some notices of VBA but not really a lot.

Would appreciate the help
