how do I populate a specific cell in a worksheet with a named range without using the data validation?

I am trying to get the cell to update with a named range based on a "select case" that's coded to a drop down, but it's not working so far.

I need to do it via VBA.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

Assuming your specific cell is A2 and your named range name is MyNamedRange and assuming that MyNamedRange only references a single cell, then this...

Code:
Range("A2").Value = Range("MyNamedRange").Value
