Hey!

First off I am using Excel 2007.
I have a construction schedule where I am trying to fill a cell with a colour on my main schedule, based off a date that is on another spreadsheet.
On my main construction schedule, all the cells work backwards so I cannot change the dates as they are all based off the cell before them minus however many days. So I think I would have to do a conditonal formatting formula?

Thanks for your time!
Jay

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
The only issue i see is the criteria.
I'd use Conditional Formatting by doing the following:

Create a New Rule
Use a Formula
=IF(V37>now,TRUE,FALSE)
I'd change the formatting to whichever color you'd like.

in the example i just created if the date in cell V37 is greater than todays date it will change to whichever color you defined.
