I have a list in excell that has a name, then below it a random number of blank fields then another name. Anyone know if I could build a macro to fill in those blanks with the first name?

Looks like this:

John Doe

Jane Doe

Need to look like:

John Doe
John Doe
John Doe
John Doe
John Doe
John Doe
Jane Doe

Any shortcut would be appreciated as this is a 10,000+ line spreadsheet!

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Select the column with your data in it, do edit / Go to / Special / Blanks, type = and hit the up arrow once and then use CTRL+ENTER to enter the data.

If you want you can now copy and paste special as values to get rid of the formulas.
