Filter Currency wise amount

How can I filter a list of numbers in different currency e.g. in $, eur, yen for amounts with one or more currency?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
you could try a cutom filter that contains $ or £ etc

The contains option in custom filter doesn't help. Can you please suggest me with any other option?

As the $ or euro symbol is just an display, i think it need something different.

then i think you need a helper cell, that says =left(A1,1) pointing at the cell with the money value and you can filter on the sign

It doesn't help too. The amounts are numbers and not text and in currency format. Can you please help me find a solution to this? Thanx.

I could not remove the boxes inside the table. Sorry for that.
How can I apply filter so that it displays only values with the currency/ies i need.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

But I have a question. Why doesn't a left worksheet function work but a left function in vba does?
