Hello all,

I have a master list of student names (thousands of them) with a lot of data in the columns afterwards. I occasionally get a list of names that people I work with need data on. How would I filter that master list with the names that I have been given? Looking to save some time!

Thanks!!

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
Use Advanced Filter. Put the list of names in a criteria list, and use the Copy To Another Location to get the required subset. Advanced filtering works by using the column headings to identify which column your criteria apply to, and also for which columns you want to extract.
