Hi all

i have a pivot table setup with 1 page field and several row fields, what i want to happen is when i select a page field only the row fields relevant show up not all of them,

explanation of setup,

pivot table is used to get stock data,
page field is stock location, over 100 locations in this drop down,
1st row field is stock code, over 300 stock codes on system

stock is stored in locations but each location can have multiple stock items sometimes i need to print off just 1 stock item from a particular location, i choose the location in the page field then have to scroll through loads of stock items and remove the ones i dont want showing

so i want that after choosing a page field, the only data shown in the stock code field drop downs are the only ones that exist.

TIA

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
any one ??

i got a feeling that this cant be done, although ive seen and used in the past code to clear old data items from pivot tables and think that code could be adapted to clear items that are not relevant to the specific page field item that is selected.

Thanks
