Yes this can be done if the check boxes are in the form header. I did something very simliar using drop down boxes and VBA code to set filters and refresh/requery the form.
Andrew
P.S. I just saw your other thread about filtering using combo boxes - is this an attempt to avoid the issue of not having a 'nothing' option on the combo box?
My challenge(s) is to find a way to filter a form based on a persons specialty.
As of right now a person could have up to 7 specialties. I need my form to be able to filter by specialty. If no specialty is chose the form should show me all persons in my rotation.
Any suggestions on how to store these specialties? Store them as yes/no on my Staff table. Create a lookup table to store the types of specialties and then a staffspecialty table to store the specialties by staff id? I consider that the easy part.
The biggest challenge I face is how to bring back these specialties to the form and then be able to filter. If possible I would like to only have one filter box.
