I am trying to create a filter function that will exclude items that exist in a different range.
Something like:
=FILTER(A1:A5,A1:A5<>B1:B2)

Your help is appreciated

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Try:

ABCD
1MyDataExcludeFiltered
2AppleBananaApple
3BananaApricotPear
4PearQuince
5Quince
6Apricot
Sheet6
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
D2:D4D2=FILTER(MyData,ISERROR(MATCH(MyData,Exclude,)),"Nil")
Dynamic array formulas.
Named Ranges
NameRefers ToCells
Exclude=Sheet6!$B$2:$B$3D2
MyData=Sheet6!$A$2:$A$6D2
