Hi,

I have a very large database and i am using a filter to help me look at specific data. Is there a way where i can get a calucation for each category i look at even when i filter the data.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
you can copy the filterd data to another location and do the calculaltions.
this is one way. you can get the unieue values by advance filter and then
create a macro for filtering and copying filtered data.and even doing the calcualtions.
these are some ideas on which you may work.

Have a look at the SUBTOTAL function...

=SUBTOTAL(Fun_Num,Range)

Hope this helps!
