Hi All,

I have a list of over 2000 rows of data, in columns A-G. In 648 rows of data, the contents which should be in Column D are in Column E, and the contents which should be in Column E are in Column F and so on. Is there a easy way to move these items back to the original columns, without doing them one by one?

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Can you not filter on the rows (presumably, if you filter on column D for blanks, you will see rows which have no data) and then select all the blanks in Column D and press CTRL and minus (-) to delete blanks; you can then move cells left when prompted.

SkyBlue,

Similar but I don't think you can use filter.
Assuming blanks in D then.

Try Select Col D Find/Select Goto Special Blanks ok

Right click on the active cell in D right click Delete Shift Left Ok

Hope that helps.
