I have a filter on the Qty column but when I sort Z -A or A - Z it does not work. I have tried formatting as number but no success, I have never seen this before, any ideas as to why the sort wont work? I am using Excel 2010 in Win 7

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
When you look at the filter can you not sort Large to Small or Small to Large?

It does not sort either way - although the sort on the adjacent column (which is a currency value) does

Sorry - scrap that, it is working OK now. I reformatted the spread sheet and hay presto - but I am not at all sure what changed to make it work.

Thanks for your input.

Without seeing the sheet I am not sure why, I just replicated your content and applied a filter and it allowed me to sort Large to Small and Small to Large, I then changed to text and it allowed me to sort A to Z and Z to A.
