Hello. im filtering through company deal data and i am having a hard time coming up with the right formula to sift through this data properly.im trying to filter by deals in progress, by city, by deal structure, and then only count one of the duplicates. The duplicate count is what stumps me, otherwise i could just use the =Countifs function. so how can i add to the function to count only one duplicate while still filtering through the other column requirements?

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

Around 30 potential helpers have read your question but nobody has answered. Most likely the reason is that we have no idea what your data is like or how it is laid out or what results you expect.
I suggest that you investigate the following and then post some sample data, expected results and explain again in relation to that sample data.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
