Hello,

I have filters on my column headings. I have no sorts enabled on them. If I filter a column, in what order does the filtered data appear? I can't figure out the rhyme or reason behind the order in which the rows show up after I filter. I know I can put a sort on a column, but I was just curious if there a default way that excel places the filtered data.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Are you referring to the Autofilter?
If so then the data will be in the same order as it was before filtering.

gotcha. I think I figured out what happened then. I think there was an old sort and the data got misplaced from the order it was entered. Thanks
