I'm trying to apply a rule to a set of data so that only one column out of a possible 8 show up. heres more detail:

1. I have a set of data with main headings "Section" and "Compression Resistance".
2. "Section" is in cell range F2:F37 with the heading in cell F1. Compression resistance is different for different lengths i.e. it has 13 under it, each corresponding to a different length in metres (from 2m to 14m) and they are in cell ranges H2:T37 and each column respective to a length e.g. 2=H, 3=I, 4=J......14=T
3. All this data is in sheet 2.
4. The rule i want to impose is that I can type in cell N1 on sheet 1, the length I want to consider then have that data appear in cells P4:P39.

I hope this is clear enough, if you require any more info please do just post I will be prompt.

Many thanks

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
