Good Morning,

A co-worker is trying to use a filter on a column that has 15 rows with a merged cell. However, when she uses the filter, it naturally only recognizes the cell where the text is writte and does not display th other 14 rows. I built a work-around for her but I'm now curious if anyone knows how to filter on a merged grouping of rows.

Thanks,
Matt

Is there a real reason why the cells need to be merged? If you have been around here for a while, you know most here don't used merged cells and will advise you to avoid them since they will cause problem like this. I rarely find that I need to use merged cells, but can usually use Center Across Selection formatting when needed. Especially for a dataset I will be doing analysis on like sorting or filtering I will never have merged cells.

Regardless, if you need help you may need to provide more information about the layout.
