I'm wanting to write code for a command button to search for a specific value within a range "Names" and then paste another value "Yes" in a column offset from the name, please can someone help.

ie
Search for "Joe Bloggs"

Find "Joe Bloggs" in sheet 1 cell A1, paste "yes" in cell A2.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Hello,

does this work as expected?

Code:
Sub SEARCH_AND_PASTE()
    MY_FIND = InputBox("Enter string to search for", "DATA ENTRY")
    For Each MY_CELL In Range("NAMES")
        If MY_CELL = MY_FIND Then
            MY_CELL.Offset(0, 1).Value = "YES"
        End If
    Next MY_CELL
End Sub
