find an exact match in excel

say you want to find the word "bob", well if you press find it will take up your time by finding words such as bobby. i can't do bob + space because that doesn't work. i need to know how to do an exact find.

Well I guess you should look at the find options and put a check in 'match entire cell contents'

In the Find dialog click Options then check Match entire cell contents.

thanks, i looked there and it stared me right in the face and somehow i didn't see it. shows how stupid i am sometimes
