I wanted to remove duplicates from the excel sheet. I have a huge list of 5000 records and have multiple sheets. I need to make one master list of this web urls.

EG.

http://www.dollsgamestoys.com/
http://www.dollsgamestoys.com
http://dollsgamestoys.com
http://dollsgamestoys.com/toys
http://dollsgamestoys.com/games

If you look at above, dollsgamestoys.com is the website. How to find any specific word after http:// before .com so that I can remove the duplicate website.

I am looking for a perfect forum for this. I use excel 2003.

Can anyone help me out.

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
You can try and do that using the Advanced Filter keeping the 'Unique Records Only' check box on.

Thanks Vinci for the link. It didn't work for me. If you look at the list, according to excel, it's unique. Frankly speaking, the following are duplicates

http://www.dollsgamestoys.com/
http://www.dollsgamestoys.com
http://dollsgamestoys.com

So, what I need is to keep any of the above and want to remove all others.

You cannot use Countif, filer advanced in this case. The way it has to removed is to locate that specific name "dollsgamestoys" from the list.

Scott - I want to preserve"dollsgamestoys" and remove all from the list.

Is there anyone who can help me out.

Thanks,
Ajish
