Find and Replace based off a list

Hi all,

I have a Excel problem I have been unable to make much headway with.

I am trying to find a number from a column and match it to a string on a different worksheet.
If there is a match and the string contains a value from the list, copy a cell from another list and add it to another sheet at a predefined location.

Example
Have a number column 1,2,3,4 on (sheet 1)
Have a series of cells which would contain that number contents 1 , contents 2 etc (sheet 2)
If there is a match copy a cell from sheet 3
add it to sheet 4 finding xxx and replacing with contents from 3
