Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
In the picture, there are format buttons. Click them and select "Text" or "Number" before replace.
If this doesn't work, first replace your data. Close Find&Replace window. Select your changed column and go to number format section on the top menu. Change "General" to "Text" or "Number".
