I was wondering if someone could help?

I have a sheet with column B containing a customers Ref number, I was wondering if there is a way of finding the associated file on my w:/ Drive and then returning the path and maybe showing as a hyperlink?

The files on my w:/ Drive are stored as 0000000 - Harry

Column B just has the number Ref.

Let me know if i need to expaned the above.

Cheers

so the customer ref and the drive links are the same?

eg customer ref = 0000001 so W:/0000001.something ?

Yes,

Column B lists just the Ref "1234567" and all the customers folders on the Drive are saved as "1234567 - Smith".

My spreadsheet tracks projects i issue to colleagues, so i would like to save them the time of finding the customers folder.

Thanks for getting back to me,

The sheet will grow, so more customer will be added in time, at present there are 59.

The files are contained within a folder, these are a mixture of Xls and PDF. I was hoping for the hyperlink to just open the customers folder, if possible.

Thanks again
