Hi all,

Using Excel 2010
Trying to find by format

[Ctrl]+[f] to open the Find Dialog
Click on options
Click on format button drop down arrow in right corner
Select "Choose Format From Cell"
I clicked on a cell in my header row which has a light brown fill (RGB = 221,217,196)
I clicked on "Find All"
I receive back "Microsoft Excel cannot find the data you're searching for."

Any thoughts?

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
Did you leave the Find What box blank?

Hi shg,

Yes, the Find What box is blank
I just tried same step on another workbook that I downloaded from ExcelIsFun YouTube channel, same result.

I don't have Excel 2010 to try it -- it works as expected for me in 2007.

Thanks shg,

Does anyone else have Excel 2010 to test Find by Format?
I only have one PC available.

I do have several add-ins running, possible they are a problem?

Add-Ins:
-PowerPivot
-ASAP Utilities
-SQLServer.DMClientXLAddIn
-SQLServer.DMXLAddIn

Hello

It works fine for me, and although I do have Add-ins installed, I don't have any of the Add-ins mentioned.

Working here too. ASAP Utilities and several other Add-ins installed but not your other three.
