Im looking to update a sports board. Im trying to Find a name in column A1 and Enter a number in B2 adjacent cell?

So, Find ALL "Joe Blow" enter 3 in B2 row 3.

Example:

A1........................................B2
1
2...Alex Johnson
3...Group 1 Joe Blow..........|#########|
4...Group 2 Jill Smith..........|#########|
5...Group 3 Sarah Schaub...|#########|

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

I just know someone will adjust this to make it less risky but this works as a basic by placing this formula in B1 and copying down with the name to look for in C1
