I am looking for a way (macro) to find, cut and paste values from another sheet to this one. As you can see in column A there are 5 digit product codes. There can be anywhere from 1 to 50 codes on this sheet. What i need is to be able to look up on another sheet called "Actuals" (see diagram below), find the corresponding code and paste the value from column B in the actuals tab, to column G (cases produced) in the sheet above.

If the lookup doesnt find a product code, it should enter a "0" into column G

my best guess is to cut and paste the values because after all the lookups are done if there are any remainders left in the Actuals sheet, the product code(column A) and corresponding number in column b needs to be moved into the sheet above, on the next availible line. (pasted into columns A (product code) and G(cases produced)).

Hopefully this is understandable

thanks

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
the only reason im asking for a macro is because that is only the "dayshift" production. On this same sheet below what you see is sections for afternoons and midnights..

the report that is imported into the actuals tab is imported 3 times a day and changes in length as well as what is produced every shift. I figured it would be easier to have a macro set up for each shift of every day of the week to do this, then it would be to hard code it. as this file is wiped clean every week and setup for the next week.
