Hi all, I'm not even sure what to title this as but I am trying to the first date that has corresponding data after it. For example:

A B
30/11/92 N/A
31/12/92 N/A
31/01/93 33.1
28/02/93 38.2

I want the formula to return the value 31/01/93 because that's the first date with a value in column B.

Hope that makes sense. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Give this array-entered** formula a try (change all of the 4's to the row number of your last piece of data)...

=INDEX(A1:A4,MIN(IF(ISNUMBER(B1:B4),ROW(B1:B4))))

**Commit this formula using CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER and not just Enter by itself
